|
This course is designed for
beginning painters or it can be a refresher course
in the basics of painting. Alternately using both
landscape and still-life motifs the focus of the
workshop will be on the use of shape, color and
value to create the illusion of form and space in a
guided step-by-step process. Basic color mixing will
include ideas for mixing colorful grays and using
them to create interest and beauty in the calmer
areas of the painting. Paint handling will be
explored with both the palette knife and the brush
to create meaningful edges and beautiful passages of
paint. Some training in drawing is recommended. All
materials will be supplied for use during the
workshop including canvases and both acrylic and oil
paint for the $50.00 materials fee. |
